After 19 months of installation, all red rust has turned to black rust! As long as the building exists, the air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes are usable.

The air conditioning chilled and hot water piping installed throughout the famous bookstore building in Shinjuku was at risk of deterioration due to red rust. In 2005, 41 years after its construction, a "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed on the 200A diameter piping before the heat source pump to prevent the deterioration of red rust inside the piping and convert it to black rust, thereby extending the piping's lifespan to match that of the building. In April 2007, 19 months after installation, the branch pipe with a diameter of 32A from the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping was removed to check the state of red rust inside the piping, and it was found that all the red rust had been converted to black rust. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Kumamoto Red Cross Hospital

The total iron concentration in the water is also less than 0.1 mg/L, maintaining a good condition where red rust does not dissolve in the water!

At Kumamoto Red Cross Hospital, a red rust prevention device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping to prevent red rust after 16 years of construction, and the rust prevention effect was verified. Two weeks after installation, water samples were taken from the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, and upon retesting, the total iron content due to red rust in the water significantly decreased to 0.07 mg/l. On February 27, 2019, four years after installation, water sampling was conducted, and it was confirmed that new red rust was completely prevented, and existing red rust was converted into insoluble black rust, maintaining the water's transparency. The amount of red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping has significantly decreased! Completely preventing the progression of red rust and proving the rust prevention effect.

At Hospital #E, which was built 30 years ago, there were concerns about leaks due to the deterioration of red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping that uses galvanized steel pipes (SGP). Therefore, a red rust prevention device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before installation, a sample of the circulating air conditioning hot water was taken, revealing that the total iron content in the water due to red rust was 360 mg/l, indicating significant corrosion of the pipes. Two weeks after the installation of the product, a sample of the air conditioning hot water showed that the total iron content in the water had significantly decreased to 0.4 mg/l. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Water Supply Pipe in Binh Phuc Province, Vietnam

The red rust inside the cast iron water distribution pipe has turned into black rust! It has been proven that the leaching of red rust into the water has been completely prevented.

In the water supply district of Huong Canh in Binh Phuoc Province, Vietnam, cast iron pipes (150A) have been in use for 15 years, leading to the progression of red rust corrosion inside the pipes, resulting in the frequent occurrence of red water. To address this red water issue, a red rust prevention device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed at the base of the cast iron water supply pipe (150A). Before installation, the water color and the amount of red rust at the sampling points were as follows: the northern sampling point, located 500 meters north of the installation site, had a light brown color and 7.0 mg/l of red rust; the western sampling point, located 300 meters west, had a brown color and 8.0 mg/l; and the southern sampling point, located 600 meters south, had a dark brown color and 23 mg/l. Two weeks after installation, the northern sampling point showed a lighter color and a reduction in red rust to 4.6 mg/l. The western point also nearly lost its color, decreasing to 2.0 mg/l. [NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Izu Ohni Country Club

The progress of red rust completely stopped just one month after installation! A case where the discoloration of the filter also decreased!

This property has been in existence for 33 years, and due to significant red rust blockage at the joints of dissimilar metals in the water supply pipes, we adopted the pipe rehabilitation device "NMR Pipe Protector." Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached to the kitchen sink water supply faucet for seven days, during which the filter became discolored to a brownish color due to the red rust generated in the water supply pipes. After dissolving the captured iron content with purified water and measuring the iron concentration, it was found that the iron concentration in the water was 21 mg/l, indicating that the red rust corrosion in the pipes was very advanced. One month after installation, a white filter was attached under the same conditions as before, and it was confirmed that the discoloration of the filter had reduced to light brown, with the iron concentration decreasing significantly to 5.8 mg/l. Furthermore, six months after installation, a white filter was again attached under the same conditions, and it was confirmed that the filter's discoloration had nearly reduced to white, with the iron concentration further decreasing significantly to 0.75 mg/l. From this, it can be concluded that just one month after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the progression of red rust was completely halted, and at the same time, the surface of the red rust in the water supply pipes transformed into a non-soluble black rust, resulting in a reduction of iron leaching into the water and a decrease in filter discoloration.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Palace of Westminster

The new red rust formation occurring inside the pipes has completely stopped, and the existing red rust has turned into black rust!

The Palace of Westminster is currently used as the UK Parliament and is one of the most famous buildings in the UK. It is located on the banks of the River Thames in central London and is a structure over 150 years old that was rebuilt around 1860. In one of the multiple buildings (the Guard Room), the air conditioning hot water piping was severely corroded due to red rust. To prevent the occurrence of new red rust in this piping system, one "NMR Pipe Protector PT-75DS" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping on the secondary side of the boiler. The iron content in the water before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector was 3.9 mg/l, but it decreased to 2.38 mg/l 34 days after installation. It was confirmed that 59 days after installation, the iron content in the water had decreased to 1.48 mg/l, which is less than half of the pre-installation value. This result demonstrated that the occurrence of new red rust in the piping was completely stopped, and the existing red rust was converted to black rust, which does not dissolve in water and protects the piping with a corrosion-resistant layer. With the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the air conditioning hot water piping can now be used semi-permanently as long as the building remains standing.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Nursing Facility #HO

The red rust in the water supply pipe has transformed into hard crystalline black rust with a volume reduction of 1/10! The rehabilitation of the piping due to the black rust formation from red rust has been confirmed!

This nursing facility had experienced significant deterioration due to red rust in the water supply and hot water supply pipes. Therefore, when the building was 25 years old, we installed the red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" in the water supply pipe on the secondary side of the rooftop water tank and in the hot water pipe on the secondary side of the boiler. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron ion concentration in the water supply was 2.27 mg/l, and the color degree was 20, indicating severe deterioration due to red rust in the pipes. Four weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron ion concentration in the water was reduced to 0.46 mg/l, and the color degree improved to 5, showing a significant improvement in water quality. Furthermore, the water quality test results 12 weeks after installation showed that the iron ion concentration in the water was 0.03 mg/l, and the color degree was less than 0.5. The red rust in the water supply pipe had transformed into hard black rust with a volume reduction of 1/10, stopping the leaching of red rust into the water. The rehabilitation of the pipes due to the black rust formation from red rust was confirmed. As a result, it has been demonstrated that by continuing to use the NMR Pipe Protector, both the water supply and hot water supply pipes can be extended to last until the building's lifespan.

Prevention of calcium scale adhesion and cooling efficiency in heat exchangers! A case where the frequency of line stoppages due to pump disassembly and cleaning once every 1.2 months was reduced.

The heat exchangers at the chemical plant were subject to overall calcium scale buildup, necessitating disassembly, cleaning, and washing every five months. When scale accumulated on the heat exchangers, it reduced cooling efficiency and negatively impacted product quality. After installing a "non-scaler" following the cleaning of the heat exchangers, there was no calcium carbonate buildup in the hot water piping even after five months, resulting in maximum cooling effectiveness of the cooling water and maintaining the lowest defect rate for products. Prevent red rust and leaks in the hot water piping of Moseley Hospital!

Moseley Hospital has two independent hot water systems: one connected to the storage tank and the other to the hot water header, with galvanized steel pipes used in the hot water piping. Therefore, to prevent red rust corrosion and leaks occurring in both hot water systems, NMR pipe protectors were installed in the storage tank piping and the hot water header piping. Water samples were taken from the hot water piping at five locations, and the average iron content in the water was calculated. Before the installation of the NMR pipe protectors, the average value was 13.824 mg/l. After 15 weeks of installation, it dropped to 1.3882 mg/l; after 31 weeks, it was 0.4762 mg/l; and after 49 weeks, it further decreased to 0.3428 mg/l. This significant reduction demonstrates that the NMR pipe protectors prevented the formation of new red rust within the piping and reduced existing red rust to black rust, which is insoluble in water and has a volume that is one-tenth of that of red rust. It has been proven that by continuing to install NMR pipe protectors, the hot water piping will have 100% of the red rust converted to black rust, thereby extending the lifespan of the building.

Effect of the calcium scale solidification adhesion prevention device "Non-Scaler"

The calcium scaling prevention device "Non-Scaler" solves the calcium scaling problem in hot water boilers without using ion exchange resins or strong alkaline agents.

Calcium scale inevitably adheres to the interior of hot water boilers and similar equipment. To reduce the adhesion of calcium scale, traditionally, water containing calcium ions is softened using ion exchange resin before producing hot water in the boiler. The remaining calcium in the water crystallizes as insoluble calcium carbonate within the boiler and adheres to it. Traditionally, strong alkaline agents were added to the boiler to prevent the formation reaction of calcium carbonate. However, strong alkaline hot water is highly corrosive to metals, leading to corrosion and deterioration of the boiler itself, internal piping, and hot water piping, which shortens the lifespan of the boiler and connected piping equipment to around 10 years. The calcium scale prevention device "Non-Scaler" reacts the calcium in the water with free carbonic acid within the Non-Scaler, forcibly transforming it into fine particles of calcium carbonate that are then dispersed and flow in the water. Once calcium carbonate is converted into fine particles, it remains unchanged even under the high temperature and pressure conditions inside the boiler, flowing in its particulate state. Additionally, the influence of corrosion deterioration from strong alkaline agents is eliminated, making it possible to extend the lifespan of the boiler and hot water piping by more than double.
