In the January 1, 2023 issue of "Air Conditioning Times," issue number 2945, an article was published featuring an interview about the effectiveness of the "NMR Pipe Protector," a rust prevention device installed in the piping of the "Vespa Sports Club," one of the leading sports clubs in Mie Prefecture, as well as case studies of its implementation. Sports clubs and fitness centers have been hit hard by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but recently they have been recognized by people as places where "regular exercise can enhance immunity and help build a body that is less susceptible to infections," and the number of users is gradually returning. However, since the recovery trend in user numbers is slow, the challenge is how to maintain facility functions while keeping maintenance costs down without compromising service quality. Among these, the maintenance costs for sports clubs equipped with pools and bathing facilities are high, and particularly, aging piping can easily lead to problems such as leaks if left unattended, resulting in enormous costs for pipe replacement.
