Construction Example: Improvement Work in the Minami Area of the Osaka North Road. Ideal for reducing settlement on soft ground roads! Easy to construct with standard heavy machinery.
Lightweight glass foam material is a porous lightweight foamed material made from recycled waste glass, used for lightweight embankment construction. In the civil engineering and construction fields, it takes advantage of its lightweight properties to reduce settlement in embankments and road elevation corrections on soft ground, alleviate wall pressure behind retaining walls, and lessen the load on underground structures. It can also be utilized as a mixed lightweight soil using excavated soil generated on-site. There are numerous delivery records, primarily in public works by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and various prefectural governments, including highways and private projects. Since lightweight glass foam material is made from waste glass bottles, it does not leach harmful substances, complies with soil environmental standards, and contributes to a recycling-oriented society. Lightweight glass foam material is an eco-mark product (17 131 006).
