(Shinjuku, Tokyo), which operates the IoT platform "M2MSTREAM," will begin providing a cloud-based indoor ventilation monitoring system that visualizes the ventilation status of enclosed spaces where people gather by continuously monitoring carbon dioxide levels. 【Benefits of Implementation】 ■ As a measure against the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential to thoroughly avoid the "three Cs" (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings). Ensuring appropriate ventilation based on CO2 levels is crucial to prevent commercial facilities from being classified as "poorly ventilated enclosed spaces." ■ According to the air conditioning and hygiene engineering standards, the reference value for necessary ventilation in a room is approximately 30m³ per hour per person. By counting the number of people present using AI cameras, it becomes possible to estimate and secure the necessary ventilation volume based on occupancy density. ■ Low humidity can dry out the mucous membranes of the airways, weakening their ability to prevent bacterial infections. Humidity sensors can manage the lower limit of humidity levels. ■ By displaying air quality information in real-time on digital signage, it is possible to alert space users and alleviate their concerns.

We exhibited at the 6th Japan IT Week Kansai IoT & 5G Solutions Exhibition held at Intex Osaka from January 19 (Wednesday) to January 21 (Friday), 2022. Under the theme "Solving Regional Issues with IoT Solutions," we conducted demonstrations and displays of IoT solutions for monitoring water levels in reservoirs and rivers, monitoring drinking water reservoir levels, rainfall observation, and measures against pests. This time, in addition to numerical data, we showcased a solution that uploads still image data to the cloud, where AI analyzes the still images automatically. Many visitors came to our booth, and we sincerely thank you for that. On the 20th (Thursday), our president, Kubo, gave a lecture at a "Public Seminar by the President," which was attended by many people. We would like to express our gratitude once again.
