[Press Release Distribution] Received a letter of appreciation from the President of NEXCO Central Japan Tokyo Branch - Safety and project management of the expansion joint replacement work and noise control were evaluated.
On October 28, 2026, we issued a press release regarding the receipt of a letter of appreciation from the Director of NEXCO Central Japan, Tokyo Branch. On October 9, 2026, our company received this letter of appreciation in recognition of our achievements in the "Replacement Work of Expansion Devices in the Yokohama Section of the Tomei Expressway." This letter of appreciation corresponds to the "Branch Manager's Award" in the Tokyo Branch's commendation category and marks our company's first honor since its establishment. As the main contractor, our company was responsible for the replacement work of expansion devices on multiple routes, including the Tomei Expressway, Ken-O Expressway, and Shin-Shonan Bypass. We completed the approximately one-and-a-half-year project without any accidents. The following efforts were primarily recognized: - Safety management and accident-free completion of construction at multiple sites across various routes - Strict adherence to the completion times for nighttime work through meticulous construction and regulation planning - Consideration for local residents through noise reduction measures and prior notifications The press release introduces specific initiatives that led to this recognition, as well as our product "Hybrid Joint" used in the construction. We encourage you to take a look.

Ten years since the Kumamoto earthquake - The "Hybrid Joint LL Type" expansion device adopted for the new Aso Ohashi Bridge, designed to accommodate fault displacement.
The main shock of the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in the early hours of April 16, 2016, caused the Aso Ohashi Bridge to collapse, significantly impacting local transportation. Following recovery efforts, the New Aso Ohashi Bridge was opened in 2021. In the New Aso Ohashi Bridge, structures that can accommodate future fault displacements have been incorporated, such as the use of a steel simple box girder bridge over the fault. Additionally, the expansion joints installed at the bridge's seams are designed to follow fault displacements. Our bridge expansion joint, the "Hybrid Joint LL Type," has been adopted for this New Aso Ohashi Bridge, contributing to the safety and functionality of the bridge while accommodating large displacements. Japan is a country prone to earthquakes, and bridge design requires ensuring safety against Level 1 seismic motion (earthquakes occurring during the service period) and Level 2 seismic motion (maximum class earthquakes). Moving forward, our company will continue to provide technologies that support the safety and security of social infrastructure.
