When the target gas is drawn into the detection tube using a gas sampler, the reagent inside the detection tube changes color due to a chemical reaction. The concentration of the target gas can be read from the scale at the tip of the discoloration layer.

Gastech has developed the "direct-reading detection tube," which was the first in Japan to feature concentration scales on detection tubes. Since then, our constant focus has been on simplifying measurements and improving accuracy so that more people can easily conduct measurements across a wide range of fields. Gastech's One-Two-Three measurement method for gas detection tubes embodies this philosophy. It allows for speedy, simple, and accurate results, regardless of when, where, or who performs the measurement. To use the detection tube, set it in the sampler, pull the handle to draw in the gas, and then read the scale on the detection tube. It is an extremely simple measurement method. ● Gas sampler: This is a suction pump that allows a certain amount of gas to pass through the detection tube. Most short-term detection tubes can be used with this single sampler. The gas sampler with a counter automatically counts the number of suction actions. It features an easy-to-read display and simple operation, and it can be reset. ● Gas detection tube: The scale at the tip of the discoloration layer that appears in response to the target gas indicates the concentration of the gas. There are about 500 types of detection tubes (based on the type of gas and measurement range), with approximately 330 different models available.
