Ground reinforcement work | Achieving smooth short construction periods with low noise and low vibration Geo-column method.
Ground reinforcement work
Safe construction even in densely populated residential areas! The Geo-Column method performs columnar improvements with low noise and low vibration, considering the surrounding environment, typically within a short construction period of 1 to 2 days.
In residential areas and urban construction, the introduction of ground reinforcement techniques to prevent differential settlement, as well as the avoidance of noise and vibration complaints from neighbors and smooth project management, are highly demanded. The Geo-Column method is a deep ground mixing treatment technology that simultaneously performs rotary insertion and cement slurry injection, enabling low-noise and low-vibration work, which effectively reduces the burden on the neighboring living environment. By using specialized construction machinery and plants with excellent mobility, smooth transportation and efficient work can be achieved even in narrow sites or locations with limited access. High-quality soil cement columns (columnar improved bodies) can be constructed in an extremely short construction period of usually 1 to 2 days. Furthermore, by adopting inorganic solidifying agents, the leaching of environmentally harmful substances such as hexavalent chromium is prevented, maintaining the preservation of the surrounding environment and cleanliness of the site. Geo-Tech Co., Ltd. provides consistent support from preliminary site surveys to project completion, ensuring a smooth foundation construction process without neighbor disputes.

basic information
The construction specifications for the Geo-column method are a standard column diameter of φ600mm and a corresponding improvement depth of GL-2.0m to GL-8.0m. The construction machine employs a lightweight, compact specialized heavy machine, making it easy to access narrow sites due to its overall width of approximately 2,400 to 2,500mm. A self-propelled mixer plant and grout pump are used to produce and pump cement slurry on-site. The standard addition amount of cement-based solidifying material is set at over 300kg/m3 for clay and over 250kg/m3 for sandy soil, preventing soil contamination with inorganic components. It features a rotating mixing specification that minimizes noise and vibration.

Applications/Examples of results
It is suitable for ground reinforcement of single-family homes (wooden, steel frame, reinforced concrete), multi-family housing, apartments, etc., built in urban areas and densely populated residential areas. Due to its structure, which minimizes the transmission of vibrations and noise during construction to the surrounding area, it is particularly effective for ground improvement in narrow sites with close proximity to adjacent buildings or near retaining walls. Additionally, it is ideal for continuous construction in residential developments where a short construction period is required, as well as for ground improvement work in sites where the road width is narrow and large machinery cannot be brought in. It is widely used for preventing settlement of residential foundations and for long-term structural stabilization.
