Ground reinforcement work | Strengthening structural seismic resistance with the ETP method, which is strong in both pushing and pulling!
Ground reinforcement work
Strongly responds to pushing and pulling! ETP method enhances seismic resistance. The disc-shaped tip wings counteract loads from multiple directions, ensuring the safety of structures.
This document provides a detailed explanation of advanced technologies for "ground reinforcement work" and the "ETP method," which dramatically enhance the seismic resistance and safety of structures against multi-directional loads caused by earthquakes and strong winds. To prevent differential settlement and tipping accidents on soft ground, a reliable foundation structure that can withstand not only compressive loads but also tensile forces is essential. The ETP method is a rotary driven steel pipe pile method equipped with a disc-shaped enlarged wing and excavation auxiliary bit at its tip, which has received certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and has been publicly proven to have support performance in both compression and tension directions. The construction method, which does not use cement and generates no soil displacement, prevents soil contamination while achieving high penetration and strong resistance by compacting the surrounding ground. With a total of 16 sizes of pile diameter variations and the selection of high-strength 590N grade steel pipes, optimal designs without waste can be achieved even under complex stress conditions. GeoTech Co., Ltd. uses construction management equipment that automatically records rotational torque and penetration depth to accurately determine the reach of the support layer, providing reliable foundation work that is strong against earthquakes nationwide.

basic information
This construction method is a reliable rotary-driven steel pipe pile method that has obtained certification from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (TACP-0665/0666, etc.) and the GBRC Building Technology Performance Certification (No. 12-20). It accommodates bearing capacity in both pushing and pulling directions, with a range of shaft steel pipe diameters from φ89.1mm to φ609.6mm across a total of 16 sizes, and allows for the use of 590N grade high-tensile steel pipes (such as SEAH590). The maximum construction depth is 63.6m in sandy soil and 59.43m in clayey soil (57.0m for pipes with a diameter of φ508.0mm or larger), achieving a no-dirt-disposal construction method without the use of cement.

Applications/Examples of results
It is widely applicable to new foundation reinforcement for general residential buildings with a total floor area of 500,000 square meters or less, as well as mid- to high-rise condominiums, office buildings, factories, and warehouses. It demonstrates exceptional effectiveness in reinforcing the foundations of structures such as steel towers, tanks, and culverts, where pull-out forces and wind loads are significantly exerted during earthquakes. Additionally, because it allows for construction with no soil displacement, low noise, and low vibration, it is ideal for urban construction where consideration for the surrounding environment is necessary, as well as for reinforcement work on public facilities and important structures that require reliable seismic calculation data.
