Ground reinforcement work | Tackling narrow residential areas with a low-noise DM method that generates zero residual soil.
Ground reinforcement work
Construction with zero residual soil through non-discharge rotary penetration techniques and low noise, low vibration technology. Considerate of the surrounding environment, the ground reinforcement work in densely populated residential areas with limited space is completed smartly.
The "DM Method (Double Metal Method)" provided by Geotech Co., Ltd. is a small-diameter steel pipe pile ground reinforcement method that solves on-site environmental issues with non-disposal construction that generates no construction waste, along with low noise and low vibration technology. In ground reinforcement work that builds safe foundations, this method eliminates the use of cement milk and performs rotary penetration, thereby reducing the costs of disposing of excess soil and transportation. Because it can be installed using a compact small-scale construction machine, smooth construction can be carried out even in narrow sites with limited road widths or in densely populated residential areas adjacent to other properties. Its unique structure, which secures large ductile cast iron tip wings with bolts on-site, achieves high bearing capacity and is based on reliable design standards certified by GBRC (No. 10-01). Through in-house manufacturing management, a nationwide network of construction companies, and real-time tracking management of construction data, we deliver high-quality and reliable ground guarantees while minimizing environmental impact on neighboring areas.

basic information
The General Incorporated Foundation Japan Architectural Comprehensive Testing Institute has obtained the GBRC performance certification (No. 10-01). A steel pipe with a main axis diameter of 101.6mm (STK400) is connected on-site with large tip wings made of ductile cast iron (FOD450A) using fixed bolts. The enlarged wing diameters can be selected as 3.0 times (290mm) and 3.5 times (350mm) the diameter of the steel pipe. The applicable ground conditions are sandy and clayey soils with an equivalent N value of 5 to 15, and the maximum construction depth can accommodate up to 130 times the axis diameter (13.2m) from the construction ground surface. The construction method is characterized by no soil discharge, as it does not use cement, resulting in no residual soil generation.

Applications/Examples of results
It is ideal for small buildings such as single-family homes, apartments, and stores that are three stories or less, have a height of 13 meters or less, and a total floor area of 500 square meters or less, as well as for ground reinforcement of retaining walls and structures that are 3.5 meters or less in height. Since there is no construction waste generated from cement injection work, it is particularly effective in narrow sites where on-site storage or temporary placement of excess soil is impossible, as well as in flagpole lots and densely populated residential areas where access for large vehicles is difficult. It is often chosen for sites where there is a desire to achieve both low noise and low vibration for neighboring residents while also controlling construction costs.
