Buried waste such as rubble and construction debris lurking in the gaps of ground investigation data can cause irregular ground softening due to aging and uneven load distribution, leading to significant localized subsidence where only parts of a building sink. Since representative point data from tests like SWS cannot capture this, sudden structural cracks or dangerous deformations may occur at specific locations of the shallow foundation. At Geotech, we conduct hand auger drilling and pinpoint subsurface exploration to accurately visualize the location and extent of buried waste as objective numerical data. In the repair process, we apply a space-saving jack-up method using pressure plates, synchronously driving small hydraulic jacks with the building's own weight as a reaction force, and performing precise horizontal adjustments in millimeter increments under constant high-precision laser monitoring. After the lift-up is completed, we inject high-flow air-entrained mortar (air milk) into the voids created under the floor to equalize the ground pressure over the area, while also pressurizing and sealing high-adhesion epoxy resin into the damaged shallow foundation structure to restore its integrity and structural strength beyond that of when it was newly built. The construction target is localized subsidence areas in single-family homes (wooden, lightweight steel, cloth foundation, slab foundation structures, etc.). Hand augers and probing rods will be used as survey instruments, and a high-precision digital laser level will be employed for level measurement. For subsidence correction, structural carbon steel plates (at least 12 mm thick and 500 mm square) or concrete pressure plates will be used, and precise lifting will be performed using a small multi-stage hydraulic jack and a linked control device. For foundation reinforcement, high-adhesion epoxy resin injection materials and U-cut seal materials will be used, and lightweight bubble mortar (air milk) will be densely injected to fill the voids at the bottom surface.
