Subsidence correction work | Correcting the tilt causing dizziness through floor tilt analysis and i-LIFT.
Subsidance correction work
Scientifically analyzing floor inclinations that induce unexplained dizziness! Restoring the levelness of buildings while living in them through exterior level measurements and the i-LIFT method.
Unexplained symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and nausea are caused by slight tilting of the floor due to uneven settling of the residence, which puts constant stress on the sense of balance. At Geotech, we focus on the correlation between structural mechanics and biological sensations, providing scientifically-based settlement correction solutions. First, we conduct external level measurements of buildings using advanced auto levels and laser equipment, analyzing and visualizing the maximum amount of settlement and deformation angles (such as V-shaped and U-shaped) down to the millimeter. Additionally, we combine ground investigations such as SWS tests to identify the mechanisms of settlement occurrence. In the correction process, we apply "settlement correction while living in the space," which does not require temporary housing or moving, allowing us to carry out the work without disrupting daily life infrastructure. Our main method, the "i-LIFT method," involves three stages of grout pressure injection deep into the ground, achieving both support plate formation and precise lift-up simultaneously. By combining this with the foundation reinforcement technique "Ganko Oyaji method," we permanently prevent re-settlement and restore a safe and secure living environment.

basic information
The applicable targets are general single-family homes, multi-family residences, and various small-scale building structures. We visualize the displacement of floors and foundations using advanced inspection equipment such as level measurement, 3D displacement sensors, and SWS testing machines. For settlement correction technology, we offer methods such as pressure injection of quick-setting cement-based grout (i-LIFT method, patented technology), steel pipe pile driving underpinning method, and pressure slab method. The ground injection material maintains non-leakage and chemical harmlessness, taking into consideration the groundwater environment. Furthermore, as reinforcement for unreinforced and aging foundations, we apply a high-strength carbon fiber sheet attachment method (Ganko Oyaji method) to enhance structural performance.

Applications/Examples of results
Precise horizontal correction of floor inclinations caused by building settlement and differential settlement. Improvement of health issues such as dizziness, headaches, and feelings of floating experienced by residents due to tilting. Repair and toughness enhancement of opening cracks and structural cracks that have occurred in exterior walls and foundation concrete. Non-destructive settlement correction in occupied buildings where moving or temporary housing is not possible. Seismic and shear reinforcement of unreinforced foundation houses that have aged. This can be utilized for various purposes, from addressing health damage in homes to structural preservation, including prevention of future settlement and ground consolidation settlement risks.
