■What is Asguard(R)? Asguard(R) is a high-durability protective sheet made from modified asphalt, sandwiching a special non-woven fabric with modified asphalt on both sides and featuring a sand-like layer on the surface. It exhibits long-lasting weed prevention effects due to its high durability and waterproof and light-blocking properties. ■Features 1. Excellent weather resistance (30-year equivalent weather resistance testing completed) The four-layer structure of silica sand, modified asphalt, and non-woven fabric provides excellent weather resistance. (30-year equivalent weather resistance testing completed) 2. Excellent waterproofing Due to its outstanding waterproofing properties, it is effective against erosion of slopes caused by rainwater. 3. Excellent light-blocking The long-fiber non-woven fabric is covered with modified asphalt and silica sand, effectively blocking light. 4. Excellent weed prevention The resistance of the film and non-woven fabric prevents the penetration of weeds. Additionally, its high waterproofing and light-blocking properties shut out factors necessary for plant growth. 5. Flame resistance testing completed The flame resistance of Asguard(R) has been confirmed using the Clevis tobacco method and air mix burner method established by the Japan Flameproof Association. 6. Impact on surrounding environment It has been confirmed through the JWWA K135 leaching test established by the Japan Water Works Association.
