- Flow cup: Viscosity is measured by the time it takes for a liquid to flow through an orifice. It is often used when creating a relative scale or categorizing viscosity. Typically, the measured flow time (in seconds) can be converted to kinematic viscosity in centistokes using a conversion table. There are also accessories such as cup stands and cup stands with heating jackets. A calibration certificate can also be issued as an option.

Non-Newtonian Fluid: A fluid whose viscosity changes when a force is applied. Examples include paint and ketchup.
