The procedures and documentation for hydrostatic pressure testing can be made more efficient by using digital pressure gauges. In particular, models CPG1500 and CPG1200, which feature Bluetooth data transmission capabilities, can greatly contribute to improving work efficiency. In hydrostatic pressure testing, it is often necessary to have a portable device consisting of a pressure generating unit and a measuring instrument for the test pressure. The equipment shown in the photo is permanently installed in the pressure generation unit. The large display with a backlight allows for clear readings even in poor lighting conditions. The display of measurement values with two to three decimal places enables immediate recognition of whether the test pressure is constant or if pressure loss indicates a leak. Its durable plastic case and optional protective case cap make it very robust, easily withstanding vibrations and impacts during use. Proven measurement technology covers a general range from -1 to 1,000 bar (gauge pressure) with an accuracy of less than 0.25% FS. The measurement frequency can be set to 1, 3, 4, or 10 times per second, depending on requirements. The CPG1200 also features an energy-saving mode. In practice, it can operate for up to 4,000 hours without needing to replace the battery. As an option, it can be equipped with a built-in data logger that can store up to 1 million data points. The saved measurement data can be read via the built-in USB interface, which also powers the device. Wireless transmission via Bluetooth is also possible.
