A new method for aging spray slope measures that improves safety and workability.
~No removal of existing mortar and concrete spray~ The slope protection method [Cross Cover Net Method] involves spraying adhesive mortar that enhances the bonding effect with the existing sprayed surface while leaving the existing sprayed slope intact. It covers and integrates the surface with flat wire mesh and flexible wire ropes, thereby suppressing both the existing spray and the weathered soil behind it, aiming for slope stabilization. Features: ■ Improved Safety The structure that covers the surface with flat wire mesh and wire ropes prevents the peeling of mortar for a semi-permanent period, enhancing safety for third parties. Additionally, since there is no removal work, the risk to workers from unexpected collapses during removal is minimized. ■ Excellent Workability The flat wire mesh is lightweight at 1.9 kg/m², and the wire rope is also lightweight at 0.3 kg/m, making them simple and flexible components that facilitate easy work on slopes. ■ Reduction of Industrial Waste By adding admixtures to the sprayed material, the separation resistance and self-supporting ability of the sprayed material are improved, reducing rebound loss. Moreover, since the construction is carried out without removing the existing sprayed material, it also contributes to the reduction of industrial waste.

basic information
1. Adhesive Mortar Spraying By adding a special admixture (liquid micro-carbon fibers), the adhesive effect is enhanced, and integration with the existing sprayed surface is achieved. 2. Reinforcing Rebar One bar is installed per 4 square meters to secure the wire rope and wire mesh. It can accommodate weathered layers up to 0.5m thick, and if it exceeds this, rock bolts will be used. The basic method is manual construction, but depending on site conditions, construction using aerial work platforms is also possible, reducing the burden on workers. 3. Flat Wire Mesh This is wire mesh shaped into a flat form through a rolling process. Compared to standard wire mesh with a diameter of 2.6mm, it is approximately 13% lighter while having a strength of 1.7 times greater. 4. Wire Rope By using a more flexible wire rope (IWRC6×WS(26)), the workability is improved. By suspending it over a pipe plate installed at the head of the reinforcing rebar, the entire wire rope addresses the collapse of weathered soil. Static load tests have confirmed that, when used in conjunction with flat wire mesh, it can withstand a load of 8.0t (equivalent to a weathered layer thickness of 1.0m).
