[Construction Case] Highway Toll Booth Concrete Pavement Leveling
Upcon Method [Concrete Pavement Slab Settlement Correction Method]
Quickly repair the unevenness of the concrete pavement slabs at the highway toll booth.
A step in the concrete pavement caused by sinking. It affected vehicle movement when passing through the toll booth on the highway. We injected polyurethane resin under the sunken concrete pavement slab and corrected the 30mm step in a short time. 【Site Information】 Ehime Prefecture Total construction area: Approximately 12 square meters Construction period: One night Maximum step height: 30mm Please watch the fast-motion video showing the concrete pavement slab being lifted by the foaming pressure of the polyurethane resin from below.

basic information
■ The Upcon Method [Concrete Pavement Slab Settlement Correction Method] In the Upcon method, small holes with a diameter of 16mm are drilled into concrete pavement slabs that have experienced settlement, unevenness, tilting, or voids. While continuously monitoring the level in millimeter increments, polyurethane resin is injected. The resin injected beneath the slab expands rapidly under pressure, compacting and strengthening the ground, improving bearing capacity, and lifting the concrete to correct it. The required strength of the resin manifests in about 120 minutes. Additionally, if voids occur beneath the slab, they can be filled using the same method. ■ Features of the Upcon Method 1. Short construction time: The required strength is achieved approximately two hours after the injection of polyurethane resin, allowing for early reopening of the area. 2. Settlement correction of footings and sleeper slabs can be performed without excavation. 3. Improvement of looseness in the subgrade. 4. Responsive with mobile plant vehicles. We provide total support for on-site surveys, repair planning, and construction across the country, with our own staff taking full responsibility. Our trained and experienced staff will propose the optimal repair plan tailored to your site.
