Introducing numerous measurement examples of various samples in the chemical industry!
Recently, the chemical industry has seen many discussions related to recycled resins in connection with the SDGs. Since color and gloss evaluations are necessary for color fastness tests and incoming and outgoing inspections, there is a demand for evaluating the colors of a wide variety of materials and shapes, including paints, resin plastics, films, powders, and pellets. This seminar will introduce fundamental knowledge about how colors are perceived, as well as tips for measuring chemicals and real measurement examples of various samples. It is structured in three parts: basic, practical, and applied, allowing participants to attend the sections that interest them. Date and Time: July 20, 2023 (Thursday) 13:00–16:00 (Basic: 13:00–14:00, Practical: 14:10–15:10, Applied: 15:20–16:00) *The application deadline is July 14 (Friday) at 15:00. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
Basic Edition: Why can humans perceive color? What is the mechanism behind it? This section provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the "three elements of color perception," covering the light source, objects, and visual elements, as well as the quantification of color and the mechanisms for replacing it with measuring instruments. This foundational knowledge is essential for those working in color measurement. Practical Edition: While explaining the "tips" for measuring a wide variety of materials and shapes such as paints, resin plastics, films, powders, and pellets, we will introduce actual measurement cases for each sample, discussing which measuring instruments and methods are most suitable. Applied Edition: We will introduce appearance measuring instruments and hyperspectral cameras used when color measurement alone cannot distinguish differences in appearance quality. Finally, we will provide a clear overview of our traceability system.

Color and light measurement instruments and appearance inspection systems, hyperspectral cameras While there are standards for length and weight, there are none for color. We have established a standard for color, which each person could only perceive through their senses, by measuring and quantifying it. Our goal is to provide a reference value for color and light that replaces the uncertain human eye. This means creating a "ruler" that allows anyone to measure color with confidence. It must provide consistent and stable values anytime and anywhere. Additionally, it is important that the values from the measuring instruments match what is seen visually. We provide reliable values regardless of the environment in which measurements are taken around the world. Our advanced technology for measuring color and light brings safety and peace of mind to our customers and enhances product value.
