The "First Shirakawa Bridge" suffered numerous deformations and fractures in its supporting components due to the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016, resulting in a decrease in strength. To restore this railway line and once again enjoy the beautiful scenery, it became necessary to construct a new bridge. This beautiful bridge, which has a rich history, will be carefully designed to maintain its appearance as much as possible while being transformed into a safe and secure structure using new technology.
