Adopting a structure that considers maintenance and repairs after use! Connecting to the future with a durable and long-lasting bridge.
The "Toga Ohashi" is located in Toga Village, Nanto City, spanning the first-class river Shogawa (the dam lake of Komaki Dam) and is a steel arch bridge of the through arch type. The arch section of this bridge is primarily composed of pipes with a diameter of 1 meter. The pipes are manufactured (pipe formation) by gradually bending steel plates using a press machine. The maximum plate thickness of the pipes is 93mm (at the base of the arch of Pier P3), and the thickness decreases towards the top. A press machine weighing 10,000 tons was used to press the pipes at intervals of about 40mm, gradually shaping them into a perfect circle. 【Overview of the Superstructure】 ■ Type: Steel through arch bridge ■ Bridge length: 368.0m ■ Span lengths: 27.2m + 28.0m + 205.0m (arch 190.0m) + 36.0m + 36.0m + 34.2m ■ Road width: 8.5m to 9.5m ■ Steel weight: Approximately 1,725t ■ Scope of work: Factory production, erection, on-site painting, composite deck slab, bridge accessories work, painting work *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Features】 - The paint color is in shades of red, creating an arch that stands out against the surrounding landscape. - All dimensions of the arch components are managed and manufactured in three dimensions, and the joints that connect the overlapping components have different radii on the inside and outside of the pipes, requiring meticulous calculations for each component's dimensions. - Pipes transported from the factory are assembled into a truss shape at the ground assembly yard between A1 and P2, and then transported to the installation position using a cable crane. - Each pier and crossbeam are integrated with concrete, providing a structure that can withstand significant earthquakes. - Based on past experiences, improvements have been made to the structural details of the bridge, adopting a design that considers maintenance and repairs after it is put into service. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
