The T-ring's shape fits snugly into the groove, preventing O-rings and similar components from slipping out of the inner groove. Additionally, it does not twist due to its structure.
The O-ring is a packing/gasket that is installed in a groove and compressed against the contact surface to create a seal. When used as a general seal on the inner diameter side, in the case of small diameters, the shape is maintained due to the retaining force of the rubber, preventing it from falling out. However, in the case of large diameters or complex shapes, it can easily fall out due to a decrease in the retaining force of the rubber or due to contraction and rebound forces. The T-ring, born from these concerns, solves the issues of the O-ring by being designed to fit the mating surfaces. It also excels in wear resistance and pressure resistance. The T-ring is designed to be slightly larger than the groove, preventing it from falling out by being pressed in. Additionally, it has a specific orientation, which prevents twisting.
