The R-shaped polishing of the two-wheeled tank is automatically polished with easy teaching through autonomous pressure correction.
FerRobotics AOK
Robotic automation with uniform force application for R-shaped objects such as difficult-to-teach two-wheeled tanks and pipes, utilizing high-speed autonomous correction of pressing force. Improved finishing quality and cycle time.
FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) generated during polishing and grinding processes, which require skilled techniques, at high speed. This technology allows for consistent polishing/grinding at the set pressing force, unaffected by variations in processing speed or gravitational load differences due to angles. With the end effector (ACF) utilizing ACT technology, it instantly and automatically compensates for changes in the dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-flat surfaces of the workpiece through rapid adjustments in stroke extension and contraction, maintaining contact with the workpiece at the set force. This technology increases the speed of the device or robot's trajectory, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle times. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the control of pressing pressure through the extension and contraction of the ACF itself eliminates the need to move the heavy robotic arm for corrections, further assisting in improving the processing speed of robotic polishing. Furthermore, since it automatically corrects tool load variations caused by gravity changes due to the robot's angle, it consistently maintains uniform pressing pressure from any angle, enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.

Detailed information
-
FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology GmbH has developed an end effector using ACT (Active Compliant Technology) that enables industrial robots to possess human-like tactile sensitivity in all surface treatment processes, such as polishing and grinding. This technology allows for stable, high-quality finishes with controlled pressing force at any angle, regardless of complex shapes or dimensional intersections, and can operate continuously for 24 hours. It is suitable for a wide range of materials, including iron, aluminum, titanium, magnesium, carbon, resin, wood, ceramics, stone, glass, and even coconut fiber, without being limited by the type of processing material. From large to small parts processing, you can choose the appropriate product from a rich lineup based on application and shape, including small and complex shapes. In addition to polishing and grinding tasks, it contributes to processes such as handling, assembly, adhesion, and inspection, giving robots the tactile sensitivity of human workers.
