The "KAMIKURU Project" is an initiative to upcycle used paper generated in the community and circulate paper resources locally. It aims to further activate the regional circulation and symbiotic zone, create diverse employment opportunities, foster future generations' human resources through educational opportunities, contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, and reduce environmental impact, in collaboration with Epson, local governments, and local businesses. Epson's dry paper-making machine, 'PaperLab,' is utilized to produce new paper from used paper with minimal water usage. [Case Study with Kitakyushu City] - 'PaperLab' installed within the city's Human Media Creation Center - The NPO "Waku-Waku," which operates a disability welfare service office, collects used paper and produces and supplies upcycled products. ★ This project will be introduced at the "Future City Development Forum" held on February 24.
