FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology GmbH has developed a unique technology called ACT, which is used in the UR+ model ACF-K. It can be easily set up on the teaching pendant of Universal Robots UR10, UR10e, and UR16e. The end effector (ACF) utilizing ACT technology automatically compensates for changes in the dimensions, curvature, and non-planarity of the workpiece at high speed through instantaneous stroke adjustments, maintaining constant contact with the workpiece at the set force. This technology allows for increased speed in the movement of devices and robot trajectories, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle times. Additionally, in robot polishing and grinding, the ability to control the pressing force through the stroke adjustments of the ACF itself eliminates the need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, further assisting in improving the processing speed of robot polishing. Furthermore, it automatically compensates for tool load changes due to gravity, which varies with the robot's angle, ensuring consistent pressing force from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
