In 2019, we applied the 【Seal Hard FGS5】 at a beauty salon that opened in Nagoya. Seal Hard has many specifications, and this property was done in the 【FGS5】 specification. The first thing I felt upon entering was the space filled with sunlight; I intuitively realized that the glossy floor of 【Seal Hard FGS】 would shine beautifully here. The best condition to enhance the gloss is gentle sunlight. In this space surrounded by windows, the elegance of the floor is significantly elevated. Seal Hard is a colorless, odorless, and environmentally friendly concrete surface hardener that is non-polluting. It is a colorless, transparent liquid primarily composed of sodium silicate. After application, it penetrates the surface of the concrete and undergoes a chemical reaction with the concrete components, generating a glass-like substance on the surface. This chemical reaction continues over time with regular water washing, providing moisture replenishment. Concrete strengthened by Seal Hard becomes more beautiful and glossy with use and regular water washing over the years. Even when it develops a shine, it does not become slippery. Seal Hard FGS is widely adopted in commercial facilities and public property floors. In addition to this beauty salon, there are numerous achievements in public and private properties, including boutiques, supermarket sales areas, and home centers. Application can be performed 14 days after concrete pouring. 【Before Construction Photo】 This is the appearance of the floor after the concrete has been poured. The concrete still lacks shine and has a matte impression. Although it was a site with many edges, such as around columns, we completed the work down to the details.

【Polishing Scene】 Polishing begins. First, the craftsman examines the condition of the substrate by looking at it and touching it. They check every detail to assess the strength of the substrate and the presence of any unevenness. Based on a comprehensive judgment, they select the diamond blade necessary for polishing. Choosing this blade is challenging and is a skill that can only be performed by licensed contractors.
【Polishing Scenery・Details】 We thoroughly carry out the work even in small rooms. Polishing and washing have been done as usual. If large machinery cannot enter, we may use smaller equipment to perform the work.
【Seal Hard Application】 It has been thoroughly applied up to the saturation limit. After application, a penetration time is allowed for a while. During this time, Seal Hard crystallizes on the floor and grows into a strong surface.
【Water Washing】 After applying the seal hard, polishing was repeated. A water wash was performed as the final finish. In this process, we collect the concrete dust generated during polishing and provide the moisture necessary for the growth of the seal hard. After the water wash, the floor feels refreshed and has a better texture.
[After Construction] This is the appearance of the floor after grinding, applying seal hard, and washing. You can see the "gloss" that was not present before the work. Not only does it look different, but the texture is also completely different and smooth.
