The CPA2501 displays altitude, true airspeed, vertical true airspeed, and true air acceleration, and can be used when high precision is required for the calibration of altimeters and airspeed indicators in avionics displays or calibration equipment. The CPA2501 has an altitude channel (ch) and a true airspeed channel consisting of Ps/Pt or Ps/Qc, and can be configured as a single channel altitude/altitude rate indicator (only Ps) or a true airspeed/ground speed rate indicator (only Qc), or as a unit configuration of Ps/Pt or Ps/Qc, with the option to install a barometer. The versions of the CPA2501 are as follows: Ps (altitude version) ■ Qc (true airspeed version) ■ Ps/Qc (with virtual Pt channel) ■ Ps/Pt (with virtual Qc channel) ■ Ps/Pt (with virtual Qc channel) - all of which can optionally have a barometer added. Communication with a PC is done via touch screen icons and can be established through RS-232, IEEE-488, USB, or Ethernet. The communication commands are the same as those of the older versions of the Mensor avionics gauge models 2108 and 2109, or the WIKA command set "SCPI."
