Basic Information CP racks and pinions are products designed to facilitate movement to integer lengths for positioning applications. Unlike conventional gears, CP racks allow for easy calculation of feed amounts based on pitch and number of teeth. For example, the distance moved by one rotation of the pinion is 100mm when the pitch is 5 and the number of teeth is 20. *Note: CP (Circular Pitch), DP (Diametral Pitch) for conventional gears.
