Permanent Grout - Solution Type Active Silica "Permalock" [NETIS Registered]
Permalock ASF Series
Corresponding to the main construction purposes such as high-strength permanent reinforcement of structures and foundations, bank protection, liquefaction prevention, and permanent water stopping. Demonstrated 19 years of aging consolidation through large-scale outdoor injection testing!
The "Permalock ASF Series" is a permanent grout solution based on active silica developed from long-term durability research on liquid injection conducted in collaboration with industry and academia since 1981. It is used for liquefaction prevention and permanent ground improvement. [NETIS Number: KT-190051-A] Over 30 years of durability verification studies and large-scale field injection tests combined with injection methods have been conducted to demonstrate its permeation solidification and aging solidification properties. The results were recognized, and in the fiscal year 2002, it received the Technical Development Award from the Geotechnical Society for "Permanent Grout and Injection Technology" (Yonekura, Shimada). This brought a qualitative shift to the field of liquid injection methods, which had primarily focused on temporary construction, expanding its application to permanent construction purposes. Long-term durability verification tests have continued, and in 2018, the aging solidification properties were confirmed after 19 years following large-scale field tests. Additionally, follow-up investigations were conducted on areas where liquefaction countermeasures had been implemented with this injection material before the Great East Japan Earthquake, confirming that there was no damage to the improved ground. [Feature 1] - It is an environmentally friendly injection material based on active silica colloid obtained by removing the alkali from water glass through ion exchange. - All components of the injection liquid are inorganic... basic information
【Feature 2】 - All components of the injection liquid are inorganic, and the solidified sand maintains a nearly neutral state, making it excellent for environmental conservation. - It excels in permanence and water-stopping ability, making it applicable not only for liquefaction countermeasures but also for permanent ground improvement in sandy soils. - With a long gel time (over several hours), low-pressure continuous injection is possible, allowing for large-scale permeation and solidification of soil particles due to a large permeation diameter. This reduces the number of boreholes required, making it economical. - Silica colloids containing metal ion blockers protect concrete structures with masking silica and demonstrate excellent effectiveness in maintaining the effects of permanent ground improvement. 【Completion of the Injection Test Center】 - At the injection test center, preliminary mixing tests are conducted using soil samples collected from the site. By adding insights gained from years of collaborative research between industry and academia, as well as numerous construction achievements, we provide a higher reliability of quality to construction companies and stakeholders. 【Safety】 The injection material is composed of inorganic substances and complies with the "Interim Guidelines for Construction Work Related to Chemical Injection (Ministry of Construction: July 10, 1974)," containing no fluorine compounds, toxic substances, or heavy metals. There are also no issues regarding COD and BOD concerning surrounding soil and groundwater.
