The "F-TD type" is a bridge collapse prevention device using connecting cables. It ensures the movement amount based on the "Guidelines for Road Bridges" (March 2012: Japan Road Association), mitigates the impact of seismic forces, and allows for following in the direction perpendicular to the bridge axis. The connecting cables are completely double anti-corrosion PC cables, with multiple strands of PC steel wire coated with anti-rust oil and polyethylene. Additionally, the springs are conical coil springs that secure the large movement expected during an earthquake.
