Introducing a case study on the introduction of "sand filters," which play an important role in the water finishing process!
At the sewage treatment plant in Gunma Prefecture, treated river water is used for on-site water, and due to odors and poor appearance during on-site operations, conventional sand filtration systems were used. However, insufficient sand cleaning led to an increase in backwash water, more frequent media replacements, and rising maintenance costs. The introduction of the reach filter has resolved all these issues, and it has been demonstrated through empirical data that it is effective against organic wastewater. [Case Study] ■ Location: Sewage treatment plant in Gunma Prefecture ■ Purpose: Securing on-site water through the reuse of secondary treated water ■ Filtration Objective: Removal of SS and turbidity ■ Type of Raw Water: Activated sludge treated water ■ Model and Treatment Capacity: RF-12 300m3/day ■ Filter Media Used: Silica sand *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
