The "Slope Guard Fence Type LE" is a vertical type of collapse debris protection fence designed to catch collapsing soil near roads or behind houses. It prevents the outflow of soil using panel-type wire nets and wire mesh installed between the support posts. Due to its pile foundation structure, where the posts are directly embedded into the ground, it can be installed in various locations, including sites with limited space or on slopes. By adjusting the height of the fence, it is possible to secure pocket capacity for soil accumulation, minimizing alterations to the slope. The Slope Guard Fence Type LE is composed of posts, wire mesh, wire netting, and wire ropes. The foundation is a pile foundation structure integrated with the posts. The posts use a "lotus root-shaped hollow structural steel pipe (LST pipe)" that bundles small-diameter steel pipes within an external steel pipe and fills the gaps with mortar. Compared to conventional concrete-filled steel pipes, it achieves high strength and high toughness. By inserting reinforcing bars into the mortar-filled section, the load-bearing capacity can be further improved. The wire netting is a lattice shape formed by connecting the intersections of the wire ropes with connecting members, excelling in sediment capture functionality and maintenance. Additionally, the wire netting is panel-based and can be removed between each pair of posts. Therefore, it allows for easier removal of accumulated sediment after a disaster compared to conventional gravity retaining walls and protective fences using guard ropes.
