[Video Available] Vibration-Damping Stand 'Robot Base Mini': Leon Aluminum
Leon Aluminum Co., Ltd.
This is a compact aluminum robot frame that is standardized in size and excels in vibration damping. It comes in commonly used sizes, reducing the effort required for design and manufacturing, and allows for short delivery times.
This is a robot frame that utilizes the characteristics of aluminum castings, featuring high vibration-damping performance and corrosion resistance. It has better vibration-damping performance than welded angles and is designed with hygiene considerations for use in food factories. The material is aluminum alloy AC7A, which has the highest corrosion resistance and excellent toughness among aluminum casting alloys. Additionally, this product received the Encouragement Award at the 2014 "Super Monozukuri Parts Grand Prize" sponsored by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. Its high vibration absorption performance, unpainted surface reducing the risk of foreign matter contamination from paint peeling, streamlined design for easy cleaning, standardization reducing costs and lead times, and the use of recyclable materials were highly evaluated.

Detailed information
-

Using materials with excellent vibration-damping performance The material of the "robot base" employs the vibration-damping aluminum alloy AC7A. It achieves a damping ratio that surpasses that of magnesium. Even slight differences in damping ratios can affect the precision and speed required for the robot base, and by suppressing the vibrations of the seat surface, it significantly contributes to reducing the positioning stabilization time of the robot and improving the takt time.
-

Damping Comparison A graph showing the damping comparison between aluminum alloys is presented. This is a comparison between AC4C material and AC7A, which is used for the robot base. In internal comparisons, even with a damping ratio difference of 0.042, differences of up to 0.1mm due to micro-vibrations can be observed.
-

There are three types of robot bases: tall, medium, and mini.
