This testing system is conducted by designated testing organizations (the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association) for each type of electrical equipment as specified by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. Explosion-proof motors must be selected based on the type of explosive atmosphere and the degree of hazard.
