This is a large box culvert that can accommodate angled configurations. It can handle an internal width of 5 to 12 meters, an internal height of 2 to 7 meters, and angles from 60° to 90° (in 5° increments).
The FA box is a construction method that combines precast components divided into three sections with cast-in-place concrete to create a large cross-section box. By segmenting the top slab and side walls, it becomes easier to accommodate "slant angles." The precast components are designed as a slab structure, while the bottom slab is cast on-site, resulting in a cost-effective large box. The use of loop joints allows for easy integration of the precast components, facilitating construction and shortening the construction period. Additionally, using PCA wing walls can further reduce the construction time.
