The "PCL method" of Nippon Samicon is a self-supporting lining method that constructs PCL panels divided into multiple segments on the upper half of the tunnel's interior. It is primarily used in road tunnels, but can also be utilized for the repair and reinforcement of waterway tunnels, as well as for the lining of newly constructed NATM tunnels. PCL panels are highly durable due to strict quality control, and their surfaces can be treated with paint or embedded with lighting inserts. Furthermore, by filling the space between the PCL panels and the surrounding ground with backfill, high stability can be expected even under unexpected loads.
