Easy Automatic Door Kit Auto Slide (Convert Existing Sliding Doors to Automatic Doors)
Easily turn your current sliding door into an automatic door. AutoSlide is extremely popular worldwide.
Auto Slide is a kit that easily turns sliding doors into automatic doors. With power tools, anyone can install it easily. It has been featured in numerous media outlets, including NHK's "Ohayou Nippon," Nikkei Trendy, and Nikkei Ryutsu Shimbun. We have received many inquiries, with requests such as "It's difficult because it requires strength to open the door" and "It would be helpful if the door opened automatically since I live in a wheelchair," which surprised us with how many people struggle with opening and closing doors. When you are young and healthy, it is hard to see such realities. However, thanks to this experience, I have gained confidence that our initial belief that Auto Slide is necessary for the Japanese market was not wrong. There have been and still are several kits available in Japan that turn sliding doors into automatic doors. However, all of them are expensive, with even the simplest ones costing between 300,000 to 500,000 yen. Auto Slide can convert sliding doors into automatic doors at a low cost.

basic information
The installation method for the auto slide is very simple. Since it is a product based on the DIY (Do It Yourself) concept, it is designed so that anyone can easily install it. To explain roughly, first, you install the main unit of the auto slide at the top of the sliding door you want to convert into an automatic door. Next, you install the rail on the sliding door itself. The structure works by the motor in the main unit pushing and pulling this rail to create an automatic door. The settings for the door width and weight after installation are done automatically, so they are unnecessary. The main unit comes standard with two wireless touch switches, and there are plenty of options available, including ultrasonic motion sensors and hand wave sensors. It is also possible to link with existing systems, and there is a type with a built-in lock available.

Applications/Examples of results
Auto Slide is currently sold in over 30 countries worldwide. Since the full-scale sales began in Japan in 2014, it has achieved numerous results in production lines of major manufacturers, food factories, facilities, and other industries. The greatest feature of Auto Slide is its versatility. It can automate the doors currently in use by customers, learning the conditions of the customer's door in full auto mode to function as an automatic door. This is possible due to the accumulation of various data and know-how embedded in Auto Slide. It can accommodate various types of doors, including suspended doors and wheeled doors, as long as they are single sliding doors. It is also capable of automating lightweight and simple doors, such as booth doors, which were previously impossible to automate. Additionally, it is ideal for improving efficiency and hygiene through non-contact door passage using various sensors and automating doors with carts.

Examples of installations on home doors In Japan's aging society, where the birthrate is declining, there are many cases where the daily opening and closing of doors has become a source of stress and burden, prompting families to convert their doors to automatic ones. The use of automatic sliding doors is increasing not only for the elderly and disabled but also for pets that cannot open and close doors.

AutoSlide is a product developed by the Australian company Autoslide and is sold in 30 countries worldwide. In Japan, Earthwalker Trading Co., Ltd. and First Raise Co., Ltd. sell the Japan-specific AutoSlide under the name "AutoSlide Japan." The differences between the Japan-specific and overseas models include electrical components, installation programs, and unique sensors. Japan has four distinct seasons and a unique architectural culture that has developed over a long history. Both the shakkanhō (traditional Japanese measurement system) and the metric system coexist, and the shapes of fittings based on shoji (sliding doors) are also unique to Japan. Understanding these Japanese circumstances well, our mission at AutoSlide Japan is to optimize AutoSlide, develop products and components unique to Japan, and make them more suitable for the Japanese market.
