Inline reducer with self-locking function, minimum reduction ratio 11, 5 kg·m.
SRM005-11
Equipped with a unique self-locking feature to maintain the load on the output side when stopped! Allowable torque 5 kgm.
The "S-Reducer," which is being adopted across various industries due to its high efficiency and compact design compared to existing worm gear reducers, was developed in response to many requests stating, "The output torque can be small, but we want the advancement per rotation to be faster." Its greatest feature is the unique self-locking function (shoji-lock), which allows the device to maintain its load even if movement is stopped during lifting, rotation, or tilting. This makes it suitable for requirements such as wanting to hold or work at a stopped position. It has been introduced as a mechanical component in various applications, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automotive assembly lines, and plant lid opening and closing. Another feature is that, unlike the aforementioned worm gear reducers, the input and output shafts are aligned (in-line), making it very compact and easy to integrate into devices. Currently, this type is available only with a reduction ratio of 11. Additionally, all-stainless steel manufacturing is possible for cleanroom compatibility.

Company information
The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developing applied products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, this mechanism has them aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise, resulting in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new business for overseas parts procurement, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are also procured overseas, and we hope to leverage our achievements and network to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
