Stainless steel specification inline reducer with self-locking function, 5 kg·m
SRM005-11
Cleanroom compatible! Equipped with a unique self-locking function that maintains the load on the output side when stopped!
The "S-Reducer," which is being adopted across various industries due to its high efficiency and compact design compared to existing worm gear reducers, was developed in response to requests for an all-SUS (stainless steel) construction for use in clean rooms. Its greatest feature is the unique self-locking function (shoji-lock), which allows the load to be maintained even if the movement is stopped during the ascent, descent, rotation, or tilting of the device. This makes it ideal for situations where there is a need to hold or work at a stopped position. It has been introduced as a mechanical component in various applications, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment and medical devices. Another feature is that, unlike the aforementioned worm gear reducers, the input and output shafts are aligned in a straight line (inline), making it very compact and easy to integrate into devices.

basic information
Please check the product specifications in the S Reducer catalog. Five features of the S Reducer (5S) - Self Lock = Maintains the stopping position of the output shaft. - Simple = Compact, lightweight, and economical. - Strong = Excellent strength and durability. - Silent = Operates quietly without ratchet noise. - Safely = Maintenance-free with a sealed structure that eliminates the need for grease replacement. We offer a wide range of products that utilize this mechanism. (Patents obtained in Japan, the EU, the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, and China.)

Applications/Examples of results
Space-saving can be achieved compared to worm gear reducers. Efficiency is also good. Many devices that want to maintain self-holding during operation, such as furnace lifting and door opening and closing, are adopted. Used by semiconductor equipment manufacturers, automotive manufacturers (factories), plant manufacturers, etc.

Company information
The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developing applied products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, this mechanism has them aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise, resulting in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new business for overseas parts procurement, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are also procured overseas, and we hope to leverage our achievements and network to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
