The B-UP brace is a brace material that stabilizes and plastically deforms without buckling by constraining the central steel member with steel pipes and concrete (mortar). A special cushioning material is used between the central steel member and the concrete, ensuring that no axial force is applied to the steel pipe and concrete. As a result, it has stable hysteresis characteristics with similar behavior in both tension and compression, making it a brace that is rich in ductility and excellent in seismic resistance.
