A super small current velocity profiler (ADCP) for shallow waters equipped with numerous new features!

We have streamlined the complex mechanisms involved in handling flow velocity sensors and revamped the design and functionality to enable measurements with as few steps as possible. For the first time at Nortek, data quality verification and processing will be performed in the cloud (eliminating the need for dedicated analysis software). Japanese language support is available. [Easy Operation] Automatically sets three water depths and continues measurements while tracking water level changes. Users do not need to specify the measurement depths. [No Cables Required] Non-contact communication (for Eco and disconnection device settings) *Uses the built-in Bluetooth communication function of a smartphone or PC. [No Battery Replacement Needed] Uses a built-in rechargeable battery with non-contact charging. In addition to conventional multi-layer flow direction and velocity measurement, it is equipped with various measurement options. It can accommodate various observation purposes such as waves, turbulence, sea ice, and echograms, all in one device.

The Signature1000 and Signature500 are lightweight, compact, and multifunctional acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCP) designed to meet various measurement needs in coastal areas. Functions such as wave, turbulence, sea ice, and echogram measurements can be freely selected and added later. Echograms can be obtained by using a transducer positioned at the fifth center as an echo sounder, allowing for high-resolution measurement of underwater biomass. With the new AD2CP platform, it is now possible to simultaneously execute multiple measurement functions (patented technology), enabling the acquisition of high-density information in a short period. They are also optimal tools for turbulence observation. Regarding sampling frequency, the Signature1000 has a maximum of 16 Hz, while the Signature500 has a maximum of 8 Hz. It has become possible to analyze parts of the turbulence spectrum that were previously difficult to measure.

A multi-layer flow direction and velocity meter with a measurement range of 1 km! Compact design, low power consumption, and equipped with dual frequencies (55/75 kHz)!

Signature55 is a multi-layer current velocity profiler with a pressure resistance equivalent to a water depth of 1500m and a measurement range of 1000m. Equipped with Nortek's new AD2CP platform, it achieves efficient observation mode control and low power consumption. Utilizing proprietary broadband signal processing, it enables reliable and high-precision data acquisition. Additionally, the design has been revamped to be compact and facilitate easy handling in the field. With the newly designed transducer, it performs the work of two devices in one. It can operate at two frequencies (55/75kHz), allowing for both extensive spatial measurements and high-resolution measurements (dense measurements in the depth direction) with a single unit. By using an AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System, optional), it corrects the displacement of the measurement position (cell position) in real-time due to the device's motion. This allows for more accurate current velocity measurements even in environments with significant motion, such as when mounted on a surface buoy.

The Signature100 is a completely new ADCP equipped with both a flow direction and velocity profiler (with a measurement range of 400m) and a scientific fish finder sensor (echo sounder). For example, when focusing on the relationship between the behavior of fish and microorganisms (such as krill) in the ecosystem and ocean currents, it was previously necessary to measure acoustic reflections (echograms) and flow direction and velocity data with separate devices. The Signature100 allows for the acquisition of both types of data with just one device.
