◆Conventional Pavement Many skate parks are made with concrete surfaces, but they have not been finished to a particular standard until now. As a result, they remain vulnerable to erosion from rainwater and wear from skating. Even with maintenance, the concrete surface deteriorates due to rainwater erosion, becoming rough within just 2 to 3 years, making it increasingly difficult to skate on and posing a risk of injuries such as scrapes from falls. ◆Towards a Water-Resistant and Highly Abrasion-Resistant Pavement In response, Willby has developed a specification suitable for skate park surfaces called "Seal Hard Skate Park Specification," combining the concrete floor finishing technology it has cultivated over many years. Seal Hard is a concrete surface hardener with numerous achievements in flooring for logistics facilities since 1994. It dramatically improves the abrasion resistance of concrete surfaces and transforms them into surfaces that can withstand wear from vehicles like forklifts. However, Seal Hard is weak against rainwater, and on its own, it is not suitable for outdoor use. Therefore, a specification for skate parks was developed that combines the removal of the weak surface layer through "grinding" and a water absorption suppressor, "AquaPel Plus," to resist rainwater.

Seal Hard is a penetrating concrete surface enhancement material born in the USA that provides a hard and crystal-like floor surface on concrete floors in stores, factories, and logistics centers. Unlike dust-proof paints, Seal Hard does not peel off and can provide a semi-permanent effect with just one application, leading to significant cost savings along with ease of maintenance. Maintenance of floors finished with Seal Hard only requires regular washing with water, and no waxing is necessary at all. Seal Hard is applied using methods tailored to the condition of the concrete at each site, depending on the surface condition of the concrete. Therefore, it is offered as a responsible installation by our company, which has received certification for installation techniques from the American company L&M. The floor of the Super Center PLANT Kurobe store was constructed with "Seal Hard Premium." It features a combination of good appearance, high durability, and low maintenance.

The supercenter PLANT Kurobe store (Toyama Prefecture), which opened in October 2020, has been constructed using Seal Hard Premium. Since Seal Hard has been adopted for store floors by PLANT for over 20 years due to its lower construction and maintenance costs compared to P tiles, recent stores have shifted to long sheet vinyl and P tiles for reasons such as lack of color and cleanliness. The reason Seal Hard was adopted again for the Kurobe store is due to advancements in polished concrete technology, which allows for the creation of clean-looking floors. This project was undertaken by our construction department as the main contractor, with a focus on concrete quality from the very beginning. During the pouring process, we used "Moacrite: fluidizing without adding water" and "E-CON: pouring aid" to reduce trowel marks and cracks, aiming for a uniform appearance. At the finishing stage, we performed "SSP-100: joint filling" to prevent debris accumulation and corner chipping in the joints. The PLANT Kurobe store boasts one of the highest levels of concrete flooring in commercial facilities in Japan. We applied 【Seal Hard W】 to the floors of a first section listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. This special finish includes joint filling and oil absorption suppression agents. It is a floor that protects the operation and functioning of the factory.

We constructed the factory floor that was newly established between 2019 and 2020. We applied [Seal Hard W, Petrotex, SSP100] for a company that manufactures industrial robots. This company has incorporated various flooring solutions up to the present. As a result of continuing with painted floors, they were troubled by high costs, peeling, lifting, and oil stains. Our company had products that could contribute to solving these issues. Seal Hard specializes in preventing peeling and lifting. Furthermore, to achieve a stronger floor, we divided the construction period into two phases with a W specification, boasting 1.4 times the wear resistance of the standard specification. Petrotex, made from oil absorption-reducing and permeable materials, can reduce damage from water and oil, serving as a countermeasure against oil splashes in factories. Additionally, to suppress cracks, we performed joint cutting followed by joint filling. SSP100 is one answer to preventing debris blockage and handling induced joints. It is a micro-elastic joint filler that follows concrete shrinkage. In factories with heavy traffic, corner chipping is inevitable, and this product helps prevent that. This has resulted in one of the highest quality concrete finishing floors in Japan. With such a high-quality floor, maintenance becomes extremely easy.

Have you ever seen a peeling green floor? With Seal Hard, you can completely change the atmosphere with its application capabilities. This time, we had a plan to turn a warehouse into an exhibition space and office over 20 years ago. The client expressed a desire to "display robots and change the atmosphere with a clean, easy-to-maintain floor." I remember feeling that Seal Hard was the perfect material for this and passionately conveyed that sentiment. A flat floor is essential for the robots to move, so we needed to remove the green coating to expose the base. Once we exposed the base, I believe that easy-to-maintain Seal Hard is the answer. I recall having a tough impression due to the floor's damage and the layers of coating. Polishing concrete without causing damage requires considerable experience. There are countless techniques involving machinery, blades, and material distribution, and particularly the polishing after removing the coating is bound to be challenging. In 2019, we applied the 【Seal Hard FGS5】 at a beauty salon that opened in Nagoya. Seal Hard has many specifications, and this property was done in the 【FGS5】 specification. The "CCS2" is a ceiling-mounted vehicle counting sensor that employs an infrared reflection method. It can detect vehicles in both directions with a single unit, accurately counting vehicles even during traffic jams or when vehicles pass each other. Additionally, this product can be used not only for vehicle counting but also as a sensor for departure warnings. We have added site photos of the Danjiang Bridge, currently under construction in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan (taken on August 19, 2025), to our company website (Projects). The construction of this reinforced concrete main tower utilizes the Perry System (SCS+VARIO and ACS+VARIO). Additionally, this project has been awarded as an all-Perry project, receiving support from the Perry Group's project and technical teams through Perry Japan as the point of contact.
