At Shizuoka Prefectural General Hospital, there were challenges associated with the expansion and complexity of the ICT infrastructure supporting the hospital, leading to an increased scope of impact from failures and longer times spent on identification and recovery. Each equipment manufacturer provided monitoring tools, but using separate monitoring tools for each manufacturer was inefficient and made it difficult to grasp the overall situation from a bird's-eye view. Additionally, as the hospital prepared for the construction of a new building, it became necessary to review the network and servers, requiring a tool capable of visualizing and monitoring the performance status of the entire multi-vendor network. [Case Study] ■ Challenge: With the expansion and complexity of the ICT infrastructure, the scope of impact from failures increased, and the time spent on identification and recovery gradually lengthened. ■ Start: June 2010 with "BT monitor," switched to "System AnswerG2" in June 2015. ■ Purpose: Infrastructure monitoring for three hospitals under the Shizuoka Prefectural Hospital Organization. ■ Scale/Target: 600 nodes 100 servers (including virtual) 500 routers and switches *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, we felt the need for quantitative performance information to determine the presence or absence of issues in terms of performance and quality during the core network update at the Takasago factory in November 2015. Additionally, in the event of a problem, it was necessary to review past performance information for rapid isolation of the cause of the failure. Therefore, we considered existing SNMP-based products like MRTG and others, but faced challenges such as poor system operability and coarse data collection granularity, which hindered accurate analysis. [Case Study] ■ Issues: Poor system operability Coarse data collection granularity leading to inaccurate analysis ■ Start: April 2016 ■ Purpose: Infrastructure monitoring within the Takasago factory ■ Scale/Target: 100 nodes Approximately 80 routers and switches Numerous large core network devices *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Terakoya Seiko Co., Ltd., we were using multiple free tools divided by purpose for the management and operation of routers at approximately 140 locations both domestically and internationally. To address the daily complaints from users regarding delays, we built our own means to quickly isolate problems. While this approach incurred no costs, it required specific skills due to the complexities of the free tools, and we were unable to secure personnel who could view and operate the monitoring tools. As a result, almost one person was responsible for everything from analysis to maintenance of the monitoring tools. As our systems continue to grow, we determined that it was urgent to break away from the reliance on specific individuals for monitoring tools. Therefore, we began searching for a product that not only had additional functionalities beyond our current monitoring methods but was also easy to operate. [Case Study] ■ Purpose: Monitoring our own infrastructure ■ Scale/Target: 400 nodes Approximately 200 physical and virtual servers Approximately 200 routers and switches ■ Start Date: December 2010 - Adoption of "System Answer" October 2014 - Transition to "System Answer G2" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationSince 2010, Kōtsūshin Co., Ltd. has been developing a Centrex-type IP phone service business. Due to the characteristics of IP telephony, it is important to predict traffic based on the number of phones and the nature of the business, and to arrange appropriate equipment scale and line capacity. If this is done incorrectly, it can lead to a depletion of network resources, resulting in a decline in the quality of voice calls. As a countermeasure, we had been designing based on theoretical values that consider safety margins, but as we continue to provide services, we would like to implement the following two points: [Challenges] ■ Cost optimization through the application of appropriate equipment and lines based on actual measurement data ■ Prevention of troubles by understanding traffic trends and planning for equipment enhancements *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Lockon Co., Ltd., our main product is "AD EBiS," a platform for measuring and analyzing the effects of internet advertising. When users access customer sites through advertisements, the system measures which ad was clicked by routing through a dedicated server. Therefore, if access to the dedicated server is disrupted due to some issue, it will prevent site transitions, leading to significant opportunity loss. We believe that performance monitoring is necessary for the stable operation of this critical infrastructure, which must not be stopped or delayed 24/7. However, it has been difficult to isolate issues using only existing free tools, and it has taken time to identify bottlenecks. [Challenges] - Performance monitoring is necessary for the stable operation of critical infrastructure. - It is difficult to isolate issues using only existing free tools. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Sega Holdings Co., Ltd., the integration of the group's infrastructure due to the transition to a holding company has led to an increase in the number of managed devices, making it urgent to review the existing monitoring system. The following specific issues have been identified, and we were considering products that meet the requirements. [Issues] - Due to the complexity of the monitoring registration process, there have been omissions in the monitoring registration of newly introduced devices, and there are devices/items for which the monitoring methods are unclear, resulting in the inability to obtain necessary information for troubleshooting. - Monitoring data can only be stored for a short period, making it impossible to understand resource trends or utilize it for capital investment planning. - Multiple OSS monitoring tools are used for infrastructure monitoring, and management of virtual guests is conducted through vCenters specific to departments and locations, leading to fragmented information across monitoring tools and hindering the rapid identification of the causes of failures. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationAt Okasan Information System Co., Ltd., we aimed to focus on the following three points to strengthen preventive maintenance and detect failures in advance in the operation monitoring of our securities system. [Challenges] ■ Since we are conducting order processing for the securities system, we need to quickly identify the risk of extended batch processing times that could lead to delays in online start. ■ If extended batch processing times occur, we will promptly investigate the cause and devise countermeasures. ■ During the cause investigation, we will quickly "extract, reference, and analyze" resource status. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Book Off Corporation, the network was traditionally designed around the POS system. However, following the business partnership with "Yahoo Auctions!" in 2014, the system has evolved to reflect not only in-store transactions (sales and purchases) but also online transactions on the website in real-time within the store inventory management system. Due to the occurrence of parallel transactions for buying and selling, stable network operation is essential. While considering solutions for the following two challenges, we were introduced to "System AnswerG2" by our operational vendor. [Challenges] ■ When building a new system or enhancing an existing system, we want to easily implement system additions/monitoring registrations for servers and network devices. ■ Since price and inventory coordination between the store and the website occurs in real-time, we want to quickly isolate and resolve issues in the event of a system failure. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
