Measures against the novel coronavirus are currently determined at the discretion of business operators based on unquantified information such as avoiding the "three Cs" (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings) and ventilation. Additionally, the need for ventilation throughout the year has led to a significant increase in electricity costs related to heating, cooling, humidifying, and dehumidifying. Ionair has demonstrated an inactivation effect of over 99% against airborne viruses, including the novel coronavirus. This verification data comes from tests conducted in environments that simulate actual rooms, and we believe it will serve as a highly practical measure against COVID-19 for everyone. Furthermore, in the upcoming post-COVID era, we anticipate significant reductions in electricity costs by suppressing "heating, cooling, humidifying, and dehumidifying" by 20-40% through air purification and disinfection effects. We promise to ensure your safety by managing and publicly sharing data on air conditions. We boast a spatial response capability that is not limited by the size of the space, ranging from 12 tatami mats to 3000 tatami mats (300-7200 m3/H), calculated based on a height of 2.4 meters. Our solutions can be applied to various spaces, from rooms and conference rooms to large-scale venues such as arenas, hospitals, airports, and exhibition halls, providing disinfection, deodorization, and clean environments.

Free membership registrationIonair Japan Co., Ltd. (ionair Group base: Switzerland, Japan office base: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Beda Weibel) has collaborated with the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (Fraunhofer IBP), the largest applied research institution in the field of science and technology in Europe, to verify the effectiveness of the air purification system (AQS: Air Quality System) manufactured and sold by ionair in suppressing airborne viruses. It has been demonstrated that by variably adjusting and dispersing the corona discharge type oxygen cluster ions/bipolar ions generated by ionair products, a reduction effect of 99.5% can be achieved. This effect is shown to be effective against the "novel coronavirus" through verification using Phi6 bacteriophages*1. We hope this information will be recognized as a preventive measure against the novel coronavirus. Ionair will continue to strive through verification research and development to contribute to society.

Free membership registrationThe ventilation system helps maintain a comfortable thermal environment and hygiene levels. When air is sent through the piping, it requires electrical energy, and depending on the type of building and its location, the air conditioning electricity usage in commercial facilities such as offices accounts for 40-60% of the total energy cost spent on ventilation. This electrical energy depends on the airflow volume, wind speed, and the filters or heating, cooling, and rapid evaporation coils used during ventilation. As the airflow volume increases and the wind speed becomes greater, energy consumption rises. Ionair provides methods to reduce the air conditioning airflow load as much as possible. The key to energy conservation is, first and foremost, optimizing and reducing the amount of outside air. By promoting the introduction of these measures, we aim to reduce environmental impact. In pursuit of a sustainable society, we not only focus on implementation but also propose energy-saving measures within our clients' companies and compare annual energy usage with the previous year to raise energy-saving awareness. Our website introduces effective cost management using Ionair products. For more details, please refer to the related links page or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationBy installing Ionair's "Air Purification System (AQS)" in the exhaust section of the ventilation system, the air quality and hygiene levels will be significantly improved. This system not only reliably reduces unpleasant odors in the surrounding environment but also ionizes the exhaust, providing benefits such as avoiding potential issues with neighbors and reducing complaints. The power regulator determines the ionization intensity based on signals from the sensors, depending on the level of contamination and air volume. The ozone sensor can be used to monitor limit values in accordance with legal requirements as needed. When the concentration reaches the limit value, the ozone sensor detects this, and the controller appropriately reduces the ionization intensity, ensuring that the concentration of ozone emitted into the environment does not exceed acceptable levels. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWhen the Ionair "Air Purification System (AQS)" is installed in a ductless indoor air conditioning unit, the air quality and hygiene levels of the ventilated indoor space are significantly improved. Additionally, unpleasant odors in the room are reliably reduced through ionization. The intensity of ionization is determined based on indoor air quality, airflow, and humidity, and is adjusted as necessary. If ozone levels exceed permissible limits, the ozone sensor detects this and appropriately reduces the ionization intensity. The power controller determines the required ionization intensity based on signals from the sensors. Sensor values, ionization intensity, and system parameters are sent to the Ionair data center, where more detailed information is derived with the help of artificial intelligence. Customers can access this information at any time as needed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationTo bring air into indoor spaces, there are costs involved. Ionair uses air purification technology that decomposes and neutralizes substances (viruses, VOCs, PM, odors) floating in indoor spaces, providing a human-friendly environment while significantly reducing the air conditioning costs for medium to large-scale spaces through energy savings. This process enables the conversion of air that was previously exhausted into reusable air, achieving "reutilization of exhaust air (heat recovery)" and allowing air conditioning to be maintained at low airflow, resulting in energy savings that can account for 30-40% of annual electricity usage for air conditioning. In Japan, a lot of electricity is consumed to make the humid, hot summer air and the dry, cold winter air comfortable. However, most of this air is exhausted outside after being used once. By utilizing Ionair, energy savings can be achieved through air analysis by sensors and optimal air purification based on the measured data using AI. This technology balances the maintenance of comfortable air with significant reductions in air conditioning costs, making it highly effective for large spaces where many people gather. We promise that through monitoring measurement data, we can ensure "hygienically appropriate operation" in response to the daily changing air conditions.

Free membership registrationBy installing AQS in the air supply section of the ventilation system, the air quality and hygiene levels of the ventilated indoor environment will dramatically improve. Odors generated from outdoor air and indoor sources are detected and identified, and are reliably removed through oxygen ion reactions. Additionally, by measuring and detecting the generation capacity of oxygen ions, as well as indoor and outdoor air quality, air supply volume, and humidity with sensors, it becomes possible to quantify the invisible air and generate the appropriate ions indoors, thereby consistently creating an optimal indoor environment. Furthermore, by monitoring the data measured by air measurement sensors, it is possible to confirm that the indoor air, which changes daily, is being maintained hygienically. It is possible to disinfect airborne bacteria, with disinfection effectiveness data nearing 90%. Installation in the air supply duct allows for infection control in indoor spaces. It is possible to reduce the air conditioning airflow and hygienically increase the proportion of air that is reused (heat recovery) that is expelled outdoors. - Neutralization and removal of airborne bacteria (mold, bacteria, yeast) and odor substances (tobacco, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide). - Effectiveness against viruses, pollen, PM2.5, and VOCs, which can impact human health. - Prevention of hospital-acquired infections.
