The header bags we are introducing this time are a bit different from the usual ones, designed to meet customer requests. The customer expressed a desire to "insert an original backing sheet after bagging, rather than inserting a core into the header during the bag-making process." Typically, a white or transparent header core is inserted to complete the header during the bag-making process (see Photo 1). However, this time, instead of using the usual header core, we created a flap that allows the original backing sheet to be inserted during the product packing process, and by adding tape, we finished the bag in a way that allows for the insertion of the backing sheet (see Photo 2). Photo 3 shows the bag after the backing sheet has been inserted. Since it has tape, there is no worry about the backing sheet falling out. As this is a post-bagging process, you can insert any type of backing sheet you prefer. Additionally, we made sure to properly inquire about the backing sheet size in advance and held discussions to ensure there were no discrepancies in size or hole placement. The customer was very pleased with the result.

When hanging products on hooks for display, you can insert a white header or a transparent header at the top of the bag and create holes there to enable hanging. By using a header, you can prevent the bag from tearing and dropping due to the weight of the product supported by the inserted core material. While white headers are more common, transparent headers are advantageous when placing colorful products inside, as the white color does not interfere and can enhance the product's appeal. Additionally, printing on the header portion is also possible. This time, we would like to introduce a bag-making case for a customer who requested notch processing. The shape of the notch that we can handle is the hexagonal notch. The overall size is 3mm in height and 6mm in width, and the width of the notch to be processed will be adjusted as needed for the bag. Furthermore, this customer was very concerned about whether the bag would wrinkle when sealed using heat during the filling process. With standard films, wrinkles tend to form easily, and the degree of wrinkling can vary depending on the temperature of the heat applied. Therefore, we proposed the use of single-sided heat seal film. This film allows for bonding at lower temperatures compared to standard films, which helps reduce wrinkles compared to heat treatment at higher temperatures. While it is difficult to completely eliminate wrinkles due to temperature-related factors, the customer was satisfied with the results. There are various types of films used for bag-making, and this time we would like to introduce a bag-making case using matte film. We received a request from a customer stating, "We want to improve the visibility of products displayed outdoors, as sunlight makes them difficult to see due to reflections." While regular OPP film enhances the appearance of products due to its high transparency, this transparency also makes light reflections more noticeable. In response to the customer's request, we decided to use a matte film, which is different from regular films. Matte film, also known as non-gloss film, helps to soften light reflections and significantly improves product visibility. However, it should be noted that it does not completely eliminate reflections. Additionally, matte film has a calm atmosphere and offers a more luxurious feel compared to regular films. In this case, we used OPP matte film alone, but it is also possible to laminate it with CPP film for bag-making. This time, we would like to introduce a case study of a bag with corner cutting processing applied to the flap part. In sealing operations, there are methods that use glue on the flap part and those that use tape such as cellophane tape. 1. When sealing with glue for products of a certain thickness: If the flap part shifts even slightly from the main body of the bag, the glue may protrude from the bag and stick to other products. 2. When sealing with cellophane tape for products of a certain thickness: If the tape is not applied all the way to the edges, it may peel up, resulting in an unsightly appearance. (Applying tape to the edges increases the width of tape used and makes it more cumbersome to remove.) The solution to the above issues is "corner cutting processing." For point 1, even if the seal shifts slightly from a straight position, it can prevent the flap part from protruding from the main body of the bag. For point 2, it reduces excess material, minimizes the width of the tape used, and allows for a neat seal. When manufacturing bags, we sometimes add crease lines to the sealing area, and today we would like to introduce bags with crease lines. We received a request from a customer who said, "I want to make sure the sealing area is folded neatly when folding it twice." Typically, the sealing area is folded once (Photo A). Without crease lines, there are several issues: - Different people may fold at different positions. - It can be difficult to fold straight, resulting in a diagonal fold. - It takes time to fold. - It may not align well with the glue position. With crease lines, the folding position is determined, making it easier to fold, and ensuring that the second fold aligns perfectly with the glue position. This also helps reduce the effort required for the task and shortens the time needed, leading to improved work efficiency. For a bag that holds a lunch box, we want to ensure that the corners at the top of the bag do not protrude when the product is placed inside. 2. Now, regarding the shoulder drop processing, when inserting thicker products, it is usually necessary to set the header portion longer than the width of the product. However, this increases unnecessary parts of the bag and distorts its shape, taking up extra space during display. Therefore, we decided to apply the shoulder drop processing. We made the header portion smaller than the product width from the beginning and cut both ends of the upper part of the header diagonally. This allows us to achieve a fit that matches the product size and eliminate unnecessary margins in the bag, increasing the number of different types that can be displayed in one location from three to four. In fact, bags with shoulder drop processing save about 10-20% more space compared to regular bags. The lamination process involves bonding OPP film and CPP film together. It is common to use OPP film, which has good ink adhesion and high moisture resistance on the outside, and CPP film, which has high heat sealability and abrasion resistance on the inside. However, we heard that when they previously had bags made, the seal strength was weak, and the sides of the bag's opening were very prone to tearing. The reason for this is that during the lamination process, the tension applied by the machine when bonding the films and the way the adhesive adheres can create slight differences in adhesion at different locations. As a result, when the film is placed on the bag-making machine, the edges can open up, leading to issues with proper sealing on the sides. To address this problem, we utilized a "reinforcement seal." When applying the reinforcement seal, we took care to: - Ensure that the temperature is not too high to avoid deforming the bag. - Minimize any residual marks from the reinforcement on the bag. By applying a partition seal on the opposite side of the punch hole, we can prevent the product from moving significantly within the bag, and by placing the product on the side with the punch hole, we can also prevent tilting. There are two types of hanging bags: bottom-loading and top-loading. With regular films, even the same gold color can appear somewhat dull in the printed finish. The difference in color alone makes it stand out from other products, contributing to differentiation from competitors. The cost is about 30% higher compared to regular films, but the customer was satisfied and placed a formal order. Aluminum vapor-deposited film has high moisture resistance and light-blocking properties, which helps keep the contents in good condition, and since the products inside are not visible from the outside, it also offers high confidentiality.
