The main business of SGM Corporation, the "Mecasera System," was developed in 1983 through joint research with Tohoku University. The core technology of this system is the superoxide ion generation method, which is aimed at water quality purification treatment of waste oil and other substances, as well as deodorization, water quality purification, and sludge reduction of sewage and domestic wastewater in agricultural communities and sewer systems. The water purification quality is remarkably stable and low-cost, requiring no modifications to existing equipment, and it can be used semi-permanently as a reliable and robust product. For over 30 years since its launch, there have been numerous achievements, including local governments (agricultural communities), major companies in Japan, and various foreign countries.
