Transmission using optical fiber supports long-distance transmission (up to 30 km) and is less susceptible to interference from surrounding noise sources. It enables the maintenance of signal quality in wiring across vast areas, long-distance wiring from remote locations, wiring in noisy factory environments, and wiring adjacent to power lines or signal lines that generate noise. Additionally, since transmission does not use electricity, it does not affect nearby devices that are susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Optical fiber cables can be connected using single-mode or multi-mode fibers, with ST connectors (various conversion connectors are also available). The VAD-D008R.L1.x transmits 8 channels of voltage/non-voltage contacts over single-mode fiber up to 30 km and multi-mode fiber up to 3 km. At the transmission destination, it outputs signals via non-voltage contact signals (relay output). Due to its card type design, it can be housed in a standalone installation case for installation in control panels or used in combination with multiple card types housed in a 19-inch rack mount chassis (optional).
