Collection of Storage Examples for Vegetables and Fruits: Mold Prevention
Ozone that can disinfect without damaging vegetables and fruits.
Here are examples of customers using ozone for the storage of vegetables and fruits. Until now, the majority of storage has been for fresh fish and seafood products, but we received inquiries from shippers and agricultural cooperatives asking if we could store fresh produce like cabbage and fruits in refrigerated conditions. As a result, we began storing fresh produce from February to early May. Vegetables are stored in a chilled warehouse at around 3°C, but if the fresh produce has not been disinfected before being brought into the warehouse, there is a possibility of mold developing, which could spread to other fresh produce. To avoid the occurrence and spread of mold, we considered introducing an ozone generator. We received positive feedback from shippers and agricultural cooperatives, stating that "ozone can disinfect without damaging fresh produce," so we introduced three units of Ozone Mart's "Ozone Made."
