Log Detection Support Software "OWL TreeLogDetector"

Detection of depressions using self-emitted light is possible! Size measurement can be done without using markers or similar tools.

The "OWL TreeLogDetector" is a log detection support software that allows for the measurement of the diameter at the end of logs by attaching a digital camera to the OWL (when using a tripod) and utilizing the point cloud from the OWL's 3D sensor along with the camera images. The measurement results are output in CSV format. It takes advantage of the strengths of the 3D sensor (capable of detecting depressions using its own emitted light, and measuring size without the use of markers, etc.) and the strengths of the camera images (high positional accuracy due to high resolution).
