At the company, even after picking was completed on each floor, containers could not be transported to the consolidation floor, leading to a backlog of waiting containers on each floor. We would like to introduce a case study of the logistics system implemented at Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ion Technology Co., Ltd. The conventional production system relied on manual labor, and automation was difficult in certain processes. To enhance production efficiency, we focused on the parts supply process. We introduced the "Rotary Rack H" with the aim of improving the efficiency of inbound and outbound operations for approximately 15,000 types of parts. After implementation, the storage area for parts was reduced to half compared to the previous flat shelf storage. We would like to introduce a case where we implemented 12 units of our particularly sturdy "Medium-Duty Steel Rack (Load Capacity 500kg per shelf)." The product introduced this time features a boltless design, with zero bolts used. It can be assembled simply by striking it with a rubber hammer (combination hammer), and it is also easy to change the shelf positions later on. Preventing falls caused by earthquakes and collisions! A case where we proposed the optional item "fall prevention base."

We would like to introduce a case where three medium-duty steel racks were purchased. In this instance, we installed "anti-tipping bases" to prevent tipping due to earthquakes and collisions, according to the customer's request. Initially, we proposed a method of securing the racks by driving anchor bolts into the floor or wall, but unfortunately, the customer could not drill holes in the floor or wall. Therefore, we suggested the "anti-tipping base," one of the optional products we offer. The anti-tipping base can be easily installed on the legs of commercial steel racks without welding, allowing for anti-tipping measures without damaging the floor. This is a standard option that has received positive feedback from many customers. We would like to introduce a case where 19 units of lightweight steel racks (height 1800mm, load capacity 120kg per shelf) were purchased. By installing our popular option "anti-tipping base" on the legs of the steel racks, seismic resistance has been improved. It can be easily installed without welding and does not damage the floor, making it recommended for rental stores as well. We delivered a total of 26 boltless racks in two batches, each with 9 tiers. This time, the boltless racks are equipped with small wheels called "casters," allowing for flexible layout changes according to fluctuations in inventory during both slow and busy periods in the warehouse. Additionally, when cleaning, the racks can be easily moved by hand to remove dust and debris.
