In tests using a stroller, the temperature inside the stroller above the application area was suppressed by 4.6°C (both based on our test results). Q1. Is there any significance to heat insulation for roofs? Aqualoof has a proven record of reducing the surface temperature of roofs by 25°C during the peak summer months. Q2. What other features does Aqualoof have besides heat insulation? Due to its excellent waterproofing and rust prevention capabilities, it extends the repainting cycle of roofs and reduces running costs. It has high elasticity that can accommodate the expansion and contraction of buildings due to temperature differences, and the coating itself is resistant to temperature variations (repeated cycles of -30°C to 80°C), ensuring long-term waterproof performance. It can be applied at twice the thickness of typical roof paints, preventing rust-causing substances from adhering to metal parts. Even on roofs where rust has already occurred, the thickness of the coating prevents rust from reaching the surface, thus mitigating erosion. Our drone inspection diagnosis system also makes it easier to establish long-term maintenance plans. Q3. I am concerned about the smell during construction. Salt-resistant and heavy salt-resistant outdoor units use aluminum fins coated with a polymer known as pre-coat, which protects the aluminum from salt damage and other hazards. However, while the thickness of the Polyual membrane is 20 to 25 micrometers, the pre-coat is only about 2 to 3 micrometers thick. After 3 to 5 years of exposure to salt damage, rust can occur, and the pre-coat membrane may disappear due to ultraviolet rays. Additionally, since the pre-coat involves processing aluminum sheets coated with polymer, the cut surfaces, internal cutouts, and contact points with copper pipes are exposed to the outside air, becoming entry points for salt damage and corrosion. The aluminum fin deterioration prevention coating "Polyual" addresses these issues. [Overview] The Polyual coating membrane is applied after the heat exchanger assembly, ensuring thorough protection of both the contact points with the copper pipes at the fin tips and the internal cutout areas. Stainless steel fins deteriorate under severe salt damage conditions, and their low thermal conductivity is well known. Copper fins excel in thermal conductivity due to their close contact with copper tubes, but they are expensive, and the salt resistance of copper is not significantly different from that of aluminum, resulting in a deterioration rate that is said to be about half that of standard aluminum fins (deterioration between dissimilar metals can be avoided). Under conditions where standard aluminum fins deteriorate in three years, copper fins would deteriorate in about five to six years.
