This is a proposal for the personal chair and reclining glider for sofas from Finland's Make Rapid. It features a simple mechanism.

The Make Rapid Linos Glider extends and retracts solely through friction with a simple mechanism of a steel pipe shaft and a plastic case. By setting the reclining angle on the frame side, you can stop the recline at your preferred position. It is also possible to adjust the stiffness of the extension and retraction by tightening the dial. Due to its lightweight parts, it does not affect the overall weight when incorporated into a chair or sofa. Installation onto chairs or sofas is easy, as it simply involves integrating it into a wooden board with bolts. It is suitable for reclining personal chairs and two- or three-seater sofas, and is adopted by famous furniture manufacturers around the world.

Development Case of V-Belt CVT Mechanism Simulation Model

This is an example of model development using MATLAB/Simulink based on the motion equation of the V-belt CVT mechanism.

This model is based on the formulation that incorporates the torque acting on the input shafts of each pulley using the winding diameters of each pulley derived from the geometric constraint equations of the belt, integrated into the equations of motion in the direction of rotation.
